Giorgi Gabunia did not violate Charter's principle
22.03.2019
When presenting the material in question, Giorgi Gabunia provided the description of the woman's reproductive organ with the visual materials. The applicant believed that "the program did not apply "age limit” +16, by which, the journalist infringed on the child's interest. The Council considered that the age restriction for minors under 15 determined by the Code of Conduct for Broadcasters was not violated. Giorgi Gabunia described the woman's reproductive organ by means of the biological [non-jargon] terminology, and the visualization was not naturalized and did not convey any sexual context, and therefore, there was no necessity to set the age limit +15.

The Charter Council did not find the violation of the Eighth (the child’s interest) Principle of the Charter of Ethics.
